Summer 2018 Workshops and Classes

Here are all the classes I’ll be teaching over the next few months in one place!  Links for individual classes are below,  and if you want in on the BDSM Booty Camp (5 classes, plus bonus group chats and email exercises), you need to get in touch.

Please Note – a number of these classes are happening online, so you need to know 2 things:
  • You’ll need to install zoom software – you can add it to your computer, tablet, or phone.  Check the App store or Zoom.us to find it.
  • Your video’s are set to ‘on’ when you enter.  You can change that yourself, but I like the ability to see what’s happening for folks, get head nods when we check in about agreements and like to build a bit of comradery with your fellow attendees.

Picture shows a brain with different emotions listed inside it. The emotions are Embarrased, Small, Lust, Overwhelmed, Fear, Playful, Passion, Security and Connected. Above the brain reads the text: Mind Mapping DesireSo you know you want to Do The Thing – but what exactly is The Thing? Being able to recognize and communicate our desires is a fundamental element of kink play. It moves us out of the I dunno, what do you want to do moment and into remember, the safeword is Chattanooga

In this class, well be tapping into and unpacking some of our core erotic drives, figuring out the keys to bringing those desires to life and learning how to share those keys with our partners. Well also tackle how we can help our partners speak their desire, and troubleshoot some common challenges to unlocking our erotic imagination.

Bring some paper and something to write as we’re going to be creating physical maps. If you like getting elaborate, bring lots of colours to work with.

We talk a lot about consent when it comes to sexuality; but what does that actually mean, and how do we know if we have it? Where are we coming from in our consent models, where are we heading, and where are we still falling short? In this session, we’re talking about the pros and cons of numerous consent models so that we can start to build our own working models of consent, as well as the risks we all take when it comes interacting with other people and what our next steps might be when things go wrong.

Please Note: This workshop deals with difficult topics that may be activating or triggering for some people. Active self-care and compassion for your fellow attendees is encouraged.

June 28 – Making Friends with Flirting

Text reads: I don't need to flirt I will seduce you with my awkwardnessAre they flirting with me?  Is it okay for me to flirt with them?  How do I even do a flirt?  Is flirting ever going to feel less awkward?

In this class, we’re breaking down the mechanics of doing a flirt, and analyze situations to determine if flirting is welcome or appropriate in any particular context.  We’ll dig into how power dynamics affect social relationships, and in turn how flirt attempts can land differently at different times. We’ll also work on identifying our unique blends of flirting style and explore the strengths and some caution points of those styles.

Don’t believe the hype.  Flirting doesn’t have to be an utterly nerve-wracking experience, thought those butterflies in your stomach might have a message for you….

You’ve heard before about how important negotiations are in kink, but before we can bring the conversation to anyone else, there’s a lot we need to know about ourselves.
Consider this your prep class.  We’ll cover the basic categories of scene and relationship negotiation so you know what is relevant to your current negotiations and also what is not. We’ll also dig into how to talk about the unknowns, how to prep for the moments you can’t predict the outcome and why being present with our people (not just our fantasy) matters.

Even if you aren’t so new, you should still come. This is the class you wish you had when you were new.

Picture of a card that reads: I've noticed you around. I find you very attractive. Would you...?

The art of building connection out of thin air isn’t an innate skill. This class focuses on moving away from checklists and figuring out how to identify what you’re looking to get from your scenes, meeting and playing with strangers, tricks to speed up connection, negotiating on the fly for casual play with friends, and avoiding imprinting. Additionally, we’ll talk about how to spot the difference between the nerves of playing with someone new to you versus a red flag, and why active consent makes for hot pickup play
